The Northern Endurance Partnership is to apply for government funding for the project, which will take CO_2 from industrial facilities in the Humberside and Teesside areas of eastern England, the partners said. The other partners are Italy's Eni, Norway's Equinor, Shell, Total and transmission network operator National Grid. Net Zero Teesside (NZT) and Net Zero Humber (NZH) are"at-scale decarbonization projects that will kick-start decarbonization of industry and power in two of the UK's largest industrial clusters. Both projects aim to be commissioned by 2026 with realistic pathways to achieve net zero as early as 2030 through a combination of carbon capture, hydrogen and fuel-switching," the companies said.
