The first Portuguese auction offering Guarantees of Origin from renewable energy that benefits from a price or investment support regime will be held July 28, according to the Iberian Energy Derivatives Exchange (OMIP). The GOs will be sold by the Directorate General for Energy and Geology (DGEG), on behalf of the Portuguese Electrical System, and OMIP will manage the participation and bidding stage of the auction. The auction is open to entities with accounts in the Portuguese Issuing Registry (EEGO) and that onboard as Registered Participants in OMIP.
