Enel Distribuzione has signed an agreement with the European Investment Bank for a €350 million loan to cover a portion of its investments relating to efficiency improvements in the Italian distribution network described in the company's 2012-2014 business plan, the EIB said September 30. The EIB indicated its willingness to provide further funding up to a total of €1 billion for the €2.7 billion, 20-year program, known as Enel Efficienza Rete III. Funds are to be disbursed by the end of 2011.
