Apex Clean Energy has suspended its Crab Orchard Wind Project inrnTennessee, one month after the state put a one-year freeze on buildingrnwind farms.rnThe Charlottesville, Va.-headquartered energy company announcedrnthe project in January 2016. The estimated $100 million project wouldrnhave produced 71 MW from 20 to 23 wind turbines in CumberlandrnCounty.rnApex representatives on Monday declined to comment on thernproject. The project's development manager, Harry Snyder, told ThernCrossville (Tennessee) Chronicle newspaper in a June 9 article that thernwind farm was being suspended until "market conditions change tornmake the project more competitive."
