摘要

Advanced 3-D Microemulsion <3DMe)™ Technology 3-D Microemulsion (3DMe)™ is the state-of-the-art in controlled-release electron donors for groundwater and soil remediation. This new material is composed of an advanced molecular structure containing free lactic acid, tetramers of lactic acid (polylactate) and fatty acids. Upon injection and hydration, the free lactic acid rapidly ferments to provide an immediate and readily available source of hydrogen for reductive dechlorination. Over time, the controlled-release polylactate and fatty acid components provide a stable and long-term source of hydrogen for extended periods of up to 5 years. This effective combination of electron donors makes available a unique, staged-release of donor material that results in immediate, mid and long-range hydrogen production to support reductive dechlorination.
