Is this deja vu? No. If you've been a reg- ular reader of PHR, you will remember an article called "Bum Steer" in the June 2004 issue. Well, this isn't a carbon copy of that article. Instead of touching on all aspects of the front suspension and the steering system, this article will focus solely on bumpsteer. It will explain how to identify bumpsteer, how to measure it, and what you can do to correct it. Swapping or modifying steering components should be performed by an experienced professional who can make sure all safety precautions are taken and components have correct tapered seats and studs for your application.
