摘要

Using Japanese-language texts and fieldwork interviews, this paper discusses Okinawan musicians who played rock music in Koza, Okinawa, in bars and clubs catering to American soldiers during the period of the American military occupation of Okinawa, especially during the Vietnam War years from the late 1960s to the mid-1970s.
