摘要

The Toktogul hydroproject is located in a narrow rocky gorge with nearly vertical banks on the Naryn River in a 9-point-earthquake zone. The rocks in the region of the hydroproject have a folded geologic structure. Due to the high seismicity of the region and the geologic-engineering conditions, the requirement for high structure reliability was promoted, above all. in selecting the type of dam.
