The advancement of goods and technologies in a world without knowledge and use of international standards and certificates of correspondence to Series 9000 standards approved by the International Organization for Standardization (quality system) is recognized as impossible by any nation. Being a component part of the world community and a member of the International Organization for Standardization (IOS), and having extensive practical experience in various branches of science and engineering, Russia incorporates international IOS standards into the practical activity of its own organizations. Use of IOS Series standards in practical activity (not mandatory, but recommended by the State Committee of the Council of Ministers for Construction Affairs of the Russian Federation) makes it possible to place in effect a single quality system for manufactured production in various branches of production activity, which can be understood by the world community.
