A probe into the bidding behavior of several generators into the Ireland wholesale market has suggested changes be made to the bidding behavior of ESB's Coolkeeragh station. The probe (see PUK 167) was prompted after a number of companies raised concerns with the regulator and the Single Electricity Market's monitoring unit about the way ESB was bidding in its plants. Three companies - Premier Power, AES and Viridian - all lodged formal complaints with the regulator and the unit about the way ESB had been bidding three stations -Dublin Bay Power, Coolkeeragh and Tynagh - into the market.
