National Health Service (NHS) Trusts in Wales need to reduce their energy consumption in a climate of steep price rises, the Auditor General for Wales, Jeremy Colman has warned. A new report shows the average prices paid for electricity by the main hospitals in Wales more than doubled in the last year. But the report finds NHS trusts are struggling to reduce the amount of energy they use, with five trusts still well short of national targets for energy efficiency.
