Just a few years on from its near collapse, UK nuclear company British Energy is now enjoying a stellar performance. Not only has it re-entered the British FTSE 100 share index, rocketing electricity prices in the British power market have lead it to announce a significant increase in profits. And its future is looking brighter than at any time in the past few years too. Since last autumn, when the UK Government announced its plans for another energy review, rumors about a potential new nuclear build program in the UK have been growing. With any new station likely to sited close to or on the site of an existing nuclear power plant, one of the primary beneficiary of any such program could be British Energy. Dr Dominic Maclaine asked the company's CEO Bill Coley about his thoughts on the UK review and his plans for the company.
