This article examines ten myths that it claims too often distort analysis of agrarian reform in Russia.rnDuring perestroika (1985-91) and when agrarian reform was being prepared and conducted in Russia (1992-2000), a number of myths appeared concerning its goals, methods, and consequences. Although much time has passed and the results can now be seen, instead of analyzing the actual processes occurring in Russian agriculture, many authors continue to repeat myths that originated in the run-up to agrarian reform and the first years of its implementation. This article attempts to compare the myths and reality and determine which fears were justified and which have been disproved.
