摘要

Fluorescence microscopy is a crucial tool for fundamental and applied biomedical research. However, the need to acquire images with ever-increasing size and spatial resolution and spectral information puts considerable constraints on the acquisition process, particularly on the number of sensors and/or duration. This paper presents a unique approach to fluorescence bioimaging based on the recent mathematical theory of compressive sensing (CS), explained later in the summary.
