Over the past year, India has increasingly made headway in the SH&E industry and ASSE Fellow Jitu Patel, CPEA, a professional member of the Arizona Chapter, has had a great hand in it. In March 2012, Patel helped launch the ASSE India Chapter that, over the course of 10 months, has grown from 51 members to more than 400. Since its launch, the chapter has organized seminars and symposia as part of its efforts to increase public safety and health awareness, as well as develop young SH&E professionals.
