There is an old saying, "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade." For Robert Duff, this adage rings true. Duff, a janitor and owner of his own janitorial business, was born with cerebral palsy. While : working in hospitals and hotels, Duff found that he would have to use rags and other objects to prop open the heavy doors throughout these facili- ties. At times he would even have to hold a door open with his right hand and push the trash cart through with his left hand. Since the disease weakens his muscles, Duff found himself scratching doors with equipment, and some facilities fined him for the damage.
