PS: Describe your professional background and work with your law office. Adele: I am an attorney and certified mine safety professional who represents employers in OSHA and MSHA litigation nationwide. I also conduct training, safety audits and program consultation. I have been a professional member of ASSE since 1997, and I am most active in the Mining and Construction practice specialties, the Legal Services Branch and the Women in Safety Engineering Common Interest Group. I have received the Safety Professional of the Year award twice from the Mining Practice Specialty, as well as from the National Capital Chapter, which is my local chapter. In addition, since 1996,1 have been ASSE's national representative, representing the Society before Congress and federal regulatory agencies.
