After eight years at the top of the Australian paper manufacturer Australian Paper, a company in the Nippon Paper Group, Jim Henneberry has resigned from the position of CEO. The resignation is effective from 14 February 2014. Hirofumi Fujimori, representative director of Australian Paper's holding company Nippon Paper Industries, will assume the function of acting CEO until further notice. Austrian pulp and cellulose fibre manufacturer Lenzing has received a €100m loan from the European Investment Bank (EIB). By granting the loan, the EIB is co-financing a multi-year research and development programme for Lenzing's cellulose fibre products under the Tencel brand. The scope of the programme covers construction of new research facilities and pilot plants as well as the implementation of innovative processes. The money comes from a financing fund financed jointly by the EIB and the European Commission.
