Metsae Fibre, a Metsae Group Company, is planning to invest €1.1bn in a pulp mill in AEaenekoski, Finland. The AEaenekoski mill currently has a capacity of 500,000 tpy of soft and hardwood pulp, which is to increase to 1.3 million tpy. A Company spokes-person told EUWID that Metsae Fibre plans to build a new mill to replace the old one at the AEaenekoski site. When materialized, this project would be the largest ever investment in the forest industry in Finland.The new mill is planned to be operational in 2017, informs Metsae Fibre.
