The weak consumer climate in Italy and good supplies on the broader European market have increased the pressure on prices of cartonboard and recycled corrugated case material in December. Prices for ordinary recovered paper grades were also heading downward in December: After buyers from the Far East had secured large volumes in October and November, demand declined again December, bringing prices down with it. In the graphic paper segment, EUWID respondents also reported lower sales prices.
