Metso has completed employee negotiations at the Finnish mills of its independent business arm Metso Fabrics Corporation - previously Tamfelt Corporation - and has commenced employee negotiations at Metso Foundries Jyvaeskylae.rnNegotiations at Metso Fabrics started on 12 May and ended on 23 June, the company reported. They resulted in 18 lay-offs concerning the office staff. The introduction of short-time working, however, which was also up for debate, has not been found necessary. Since Metso's takeover of Tamfelt Corporation in November last year, the company has been struggling with a challenging market situation.
