The British packaging company Europack-aging Ltd has been sold back to its former owners. The private equity company Mi-dOcean Partners sold Europackaging Ltd and the subsidiary Border Converters Ltd to Europackaging Jersey Guarantee Ltd on 4 September of the current business year. This newly-founded company is owned by the Majid family, the former owners of Europackaging who had sold Europackaging to MidOcean Partners at the end of 2006 for an undisclosed sum. This time, too, no financial details of the deal have been disclosed. A company spokesman from Europackaging said, however, that the repurchase of the company by the Majid family has secured over 800 jobs worldwide, a little less than 200 of them at the Birmingham facility.
