You can't do business with someone you don't trust. Yet with the spread of electronically mediated business (e-busi ness), trust is becoming increasingly hard er to establish and maintain. As we move from a familiar, face-to-face style of doing business, both suppliers and customers must find new ways to assess whether information is accurate and up-to-date and to detect deliberately falsified information. "Trust me" is a valid model for interactions only where trustworthiness has been defined and demonstrated.
