Barkston Warbirds, for me, starts the new model flying season. It seems an eternity since I took my last model "aircraft pictures back in 2013. I missed the final fly-in of 2013, the Barkston Heath Christmas Bash. At the time I was half way around the other side of the world in Japan, and not a model aircraft in sight! There was also another reason for my eager anticipation -I bought a new telephoto lens in February. I have not had much of a chance to use this new piece of kit, apart from a few Red Arrows pictures. So my shutter finger has been getting very twitchy and it was ready to shoot quite a few frames over the weekend!
