I don't know who first invented the 'canaliser', but I first saw one on the Oxalys F3A design by Christophe Paysant-Le Roux, known as CPLR for short. This young Frenchman is a famous model pilot and designer, winner of many international trophies for aerobatic flying, including the World Champs and TOC. In my French dictionary the word canaliser is a verb meaning to channel or direct (water).
