It's been eye-opening and educational to see at first hand, the breadth of feeling expressed on the subject of ready-to-fly models sold in 'shiny boxes' since our item on a local toy/model shop and its reluctance to think 'outside the box' and cater for non-RTF customers, to the point of refusing to stock a supply of balsa.rnReaders report similar shops with little or no awareness of model flying beyond the consumer goods they sell and on the other hand, those who still provide a reliable service for modellers and sound advice and after-service for those taking the ready-to-fly option.
