The device (1) for transporting bags filled with gas (2) comprises a fan (4) and transport channels (3). The fan is connected to the transport channels by a connecting channel. The device also has a gas-filled bag preparation unit, a storage facility (5,15) for gas-filled bags, the preparation unit and the storage facility being connected by the transport channels. The preparation unit (7) has cutting devices (25) for severing a series of mutually connected gas-filled bags to form separate series of a desired number of mutually connected bags. The storage facility has an aperture for removal of gas-filled bags.
