摘要

A new suspension spring steel, UHS1900, designed with a maximum sheer stress of 1 200Mpa and having excellent corrosion fatigue properties, has been developed. Corrosion fatigue life improvement was achieved by improving resistance to pitting corrosion and hydrogen embrittlement. Corrosion resistance- was improved through rust composition control with the addition of copper, nickel, and chromium. Hy- drogen embrittlement was improved through the introduction of a hydrogen trapping site with the addition of titanium.
