Evaluating only the 43 naval radar programs covered in this study, Forecast International projects the grouping to be worth a minimum of $28,152 billion from 2021 through 2030. Funding values break down into the following categories and proportions: 56.0 percent will be allotted to unit production ($15.778 billion), 33.8 percent will go to research, development, test, and evaluation ($9.515 billion), and 7.4 percent will be used for operations and maintenance / upgrades ($2.097 billion). The remainder of the market value (2.7 percent / $762.5 million) has been assigned to a catch-all Commingled / Procurement category. The majority of the value of the market covered by this analysis represents sales of physical units. In the coming decade, radars of many types will be purchased by navies as they enhance their fleets. Together, 1,210 naval radars are expected to be produced over the 2021 through 2030 forecast period.
