An easyjet Airbus A319 had been at the runway holding point at Liverpool for about five minutes while its pilots sorted out a minor technical problem: "Tower, Easy 123, we've solved the problem by pressing Control, ALT, Delete. Now ready for departure!" Controller to light aircraft: "Do you have a transponder?" Pilot: "No but it would have made a good Christmas present!" At Liverpool, a Stampe SV4 was weaving along the taxiway so that the pilot could see past the engine. ATC to an Airbus 319: "Easy 123 follow the biplane via Taxiway Alpha to the apron. Easy 123: "Do you want us to wiggle and waggle like he's doing?" ATC: "Whatever turns you on, sir!" Heard at Ronaldsway, Isle of Man: Aircraft: "Tower, just to let you know, there appears to be a dead rat in between the apron and Taxiway Charlie."
