In the industry's fifth annual Long-Term Passenger Rolling Stock Strategy published on March 9, the Rail Delivery Group records that orders for new rolling stock are at 'historically high levels', with the size of the UK fleet increasing faster than at any time in recent decades. Around half of the 6000 new vehicles committed for delivery from April 2014 to March 2021 have been or will be assembled in the UK, RDG notes.
