The vision of a network of high speed freight trains carrying express parcels and premium consignments across Europe moved a step closer on March 20-21, when the EuroCarex consortium staged a demonstration run between Lyon and London using a TGV train-set borrowed from French post office La Poste. The demonstration was managed by Eurotunnel and SNCF, with support from GB Railfreight, HS1 Ltd and Geoparts Rail Solutions.
