摘要

Virtually all animals have some way of communicating with other members of the same species, ranging from simple signals like "I want to have sex with you" to quite complex warnings, hunting signals and family calls, but no other animal is remotely as efficient at intra-species communication as humans. Interpersonal communication is what makes us human. It has even been suggested that both canine and human evolution were guided by the astonishing ability of humans to communicate with each other - semi-scavenging wolves would quite naturally be more willing to cooperate with those hominoids that could form the most efficient hunting groups, and those hominoids that learned to cooperate with semi-scavenging wolves would be more likely to survive to a breeding age (Guha, 2012).
