Uchronia is an aggregator of alternate history materials, largely focusing on novels, short stories and essays that fall within that genre. Alternate history is, according to the Collins Dictionary, "a genre of fiction in which the author speculates on how the course of history might have been altered if a particular historical event had had a different outcome" (Collins, 2013). As it is an aggregator, Uchronia does not have any original material that cannot be found" elsewhere. Each entry has bibliographic information, as well as specific information about the alternate histories dealt with in each work. The website appears to be updated on an as-needed basis, as shown by the updates page, which has a list of updates on a variety of days with no particular pattern.
