A rural corner of Minnesota saw a pair benefits after it attached a mixed-waste processing line to the front end of a waste-to-energy facility: more recycling and greater overall efficiency.The mixed-waste sortation system was installed in 2014 at the Perham Resource Recovery Facility (PRRF), a 30-year-old steam production operation. Expansions and improvements were also made to the waste-to-energy system that year.
