Industry initiatives and the growth of recycling have lead to innovative plastic products made with recycled content — and growing demand for more recovered bottles. In the past 10 years alone, the plastics industry has invested more than $1 billion in recycling initiatives across North America. During this same time, the number of companies involved in plastics recycling has more than tripled and the demand for recycled plastic in products has grown significantly. This increased demand for products made from recycled plastic ranges from fleece clothing to office supplies, from children's jungle gyms to packaging applications.
