Manufacturers of medium/heavy commercial rotorcraft are projected to deliver 1,644 aircraft worth $30.8 billion from 2019 through 2028. Annual production is forecast to rise through 2020, when manufacturers are forecast to deliver 156 aircraft to the market. It will then decline in 2021 and 2022 in line with a forecast cyclical slowdown in the global economy. Growth will return to the segment in 2023.
