A suboptimal nonlinear two-band system for automatic speed control of a dc motor with independent excitation is synthesized by the Bellman-Lyapunov method. The system ensures control of the required quality for any ratio of the electromechanical and electromagnetic time constants, with magnetic-flux variation during the transient process. The results of simulating system operation are presented.
