Via the International Special Committee on Radio Interference (CISPR), following the successful launch of the Standards+ package in June 2008, the IEC is now proposing a new International Standard with an annexed "Redline" version that keeps track of all changes from the previous edition. CISPR 22 has been used globally as the cornerstone requirement for InformationTechnology (IT) equipment for many years to determine compliance with applicable limits. Many economies like the European Union.Japan.Australia and New Zealand have adopted CISPR 22, sometimes with modifications, into locally applicable standards. CISPR 22 is one of the key EMC standards with the widest applicability since it specifies requirements for IT equipment including telecommunications apparatus and PCs.
