摘要

Unicode is an international standard that supports all the world's languages, regardless of computer platform. With it, global business processes can be set up, master data can be managed uniformly worldwide, and customer data with ail types of character sets can be integrated within one system. SAP's entire mySAP Business Suite is Unicode-compatible. Until recently, processing different languages required different character sets that were represented on code pages containing all letters and characters required by the international world of business. However, problems arose when combining several code pages in one system or exchanging data between different partners. Even if different solutions enabled work to be completed with some restrictions, it was never possible to have one standard integrated solution worldwide.
