The Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) has the primary mandate to provide economical, safe, clean and sustained power through the nuclear energy route. The teaching institutions through their faculty and students are collaborating with the DAE in many of its programmes. The industries in particular are active partners in building power reactors. A greater synergy between the DAE, teaching institutes and the industries is crucial for the successful implementation of the DAE programmes. The DAE provides excellent opportunities for scientists and engineers to pursue a career in Nuclear Science and Technology.
