摘要

Science fiction (also, SF or sci-fi) is a broad category of fiction that relies heavily on current or future S&T. It is a sort of realistic speculation about possible future events, based solidly on adequate knowledge of the real world, past and present, and on a thorough understanding of the nature and significance of the scientific method. As Edmund Crispin put it: "A science fiction story is one which presupposes a technology, or an effect of technology, or a disturbance in the natural order, such as humanity, up to the time of writing, has not in actual fact experienced. "~1 The point that must be especially noted in the context of science fiction writing is that it has "not in actual fact (been) experienced." This sets science fiction apart from straightforward factual reporting.
