Science Communicators' Meet has been organized as a part of this training programme for the last few years. The Fifth Science Communicators' Meet was held on 12th February, 2011 in the auditorium of the Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management, Kolkata. The theme of the meet was, 'Climate Changes and its Impact on Our Livelihood'. Dr. Manoj K. Patairiya, Director, NCSTC, DST, Govt. of India inaugurated the programme. He spoke on the relevance of the training programme on science communication and the theme of the meet. The key-note Address was delivered by Professor Abhijit Mitra, Head of the Department of Marine Science, University of Calcutta and the theme lecture was delivered by Dr. H. P. S. Kalra, Punjabi University, Patiala.
