Needles to mention that the progress and prosperity of a nation depends on the progress of the people. If the spirit and human potentialities of the people are not developed nothing can be developed. Indeed, the basic problem of most of the third world countries is not a poverty of natural resources but underdevelopment of human resources. To upgrade the quality of the people by improving their skills and their usefulness for such countries is the primary task. In the present era, when science is permeated in all the spheres of life including almost every aspect of the socio economic scene, it goes without saying that one very effective way of achieving the aforesaid objectives is to create an awareness among the masses of the benefit of the science and to cultivate a scientific temper amongst them.
