A study of K and L-shell ionization cross-sections due to electron impact for gold atom at incident electron energy from ionization threshold to 1 GeV is presented. In present model, calculation for the inner shell (K and L) Ionization cross sections require two constants, namely Ionization energy "I" and the occupation number "N" Remarkable agreement is found between the calculations and measurements. The investigation for other atoms is in progress.
