摘要

The present paper deals the problem of self similar flows obtained a cylindrical shock wave propagating into a non uniform gas. The shock is assumed to be propagating at rest permeated by an azimuthal magnetic field. The flow is caused by an expanding cylindrical piston and the total energy of the flow between the piston and the shock front is taken to be time-dependent obeying a power law.
