摘要

Thirty three compounds of substituted 5-isoxazolones were tested against Colletotrichum dasturii and phytophthora parasitica var piperina. The fungitoxicity were analysed according to the structure of the compounds. Some fungal diseases have been reported from India of which leaf spot and leaf rot (Collectotrichum dasturii) and Phytophthora parasitica are of wide spread occurrence and cause maximum spoilage of betel leaf. Mostly foot-rot, leaf spot and anthracnose diseases are common in Orissa. To improve agricultural production, the fungal diseases of plant need to be controlled. Thirty three new fungicides were prepared and attempt is made to co-relate the chemical constitution of fungicide with biological activity.
