BRIEFING: The ASD-12V SHARP is a multisensor system deployed on F/A-18E/F Super Hornet strike fighters. SHARP produces near-real-time, high-resolution, dual-band electro-optical and infrared imagery from medium and high standoff altitudes day or night and in all weather, and transmits it to commanders via data link. SHARP was first deployed over Iraq in 2003.
