摘要

As the Force Marine Officer for Commander of Task Force 76 [CTF 76], I'm learning something new about the Navy every day, and I'm teaching my shipmates about the Marine Corps. As the FMO I advise the admiral and staff on Marine-relevant issues. This job is important because it keeps the commander of Task Force 76-who is the amphibious commander for 7th Fleet-aware of plans and issues with Ⅲ Marine Expeditionary Force [MEF] who provide the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit [MEU] for patrol with CTF 76's Amphibious Squadron 11 in the Indo-Pacific Command's area of operations. It's important to have a Marine on staff who works with the Marine commands on Okinawa but works for the Navy commander. My background and experience as a Marine can help the Navy staff as they work with the Marines on Okinawa.
