NICO International has evolved considerably since its establishment in Dubai in 1973, to service marine traffic generated by the region's oil and construction boom, relates gm Pilakkal Thamban. Today it has strategic bases in Dubai, Fujairah and Abu Dhabi, and is able to provide a complete range of marine and industrial repair services throughout the UAE and the Middle East. Primary areas of expertise are alongside, afloat and passage repairs, but it also drydocks vessels from its Abu Dhabi and Fujairah facilities.
